The Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters soundtrack is back on Spotify after a fantastic few weeks. If you haven’t listened to it, go ahead and give it a listen: - Aaron Becker: "Annabeth Chase" - With so many songs in this movie, I've decided to just pick one that I think is the best. This song originally plays during Annabeth's dream sequence in Chapter 8 of The Sea of Monsters where she is once again drowning underwater and needs to fight her way back up. It has such an intense beat and intense lyrics that really set the mood for her journey. - The New Pornographers: "The Wrong Year" - I chose this song because it is one of the many songs that was cut from the final version. I personally loved it and feel that with a few more rewrites, it could be a great song for the soundtrack. - Dan Bern: "Geronimo" - This is another one of my favorite songs on the soundtrack. Dan Bern did an amazing job with this song and it’s so different from anything you would hear in a movie these days. It has such an old fashioned sound to it and I just love how powerful and raw his voice sounds when he sings. - John Murphy: "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" - Of course this song has to be on here. It’s such a great song and really sets the tone and mood for the movie perfectly. I couldn’t pick just one, so here's another! This is Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief by John Murphy It was confirmed on April 28, 2011 that there would be a "Full Motion Video" trailer released on May 1st in honor of the film's Blu-ray release in North America. Tied to their Facebook page for the movie, the trailer was confirmed to be rated PG by the MPAA. On November 14, 2012, the official website released a "New Trailer" video featuring new footage from the film. Before making his first appearance as Percy Jackson in "The Lightning Thief", Lerman had previously played Luke Castellan in another adaptation of a Rick Riordan book: "" on Fox. He later made a guest appearance as Luke in the first arc of Riordan's second series: "". Reid's initial casting in the film caused controversy due to his age; he was seventeen at the time, making him notably young. Proponents of the casting point out that, when compared to other actors in similar roles, Reid is at least several years older than them (e.g. Heath Ledger is fourteen years older than Johnny Depp when they both played Jack Sparrow; "Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe is thirteen or fourteen years older than Rupert Grint); they also cite his previous roles as giving him experience with similar age-range characters. cfa1e77820
